Our Commitment to the Community

American Ultimate Academy (AUA) is dedicated to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. We believe the sport of ultimate is truly unique but understand the challenges that stem from race, gender, class, and identity are not. AUA is committed to tackling these challenges head on while celebrating diversity on and off the ultimate field. By doing community outreach and partnering with local rec centers, AUA creates a pathway that provides consistent playing opportunities for youth in the DMV area. Within these pathways, AUA will focus on creating playing environments where differences between players are celebrated, creating spaces where participants can be their true and authentic selves. We understand this policy is by no means a solution, and that change will take a steadfast commitment to fairness, empathy, and integrity. American Ultimate Academy will continue to be an ally in the fight for social justice and equality.
